Darren S. Harvey is a seasoned Program Manager and Systems Engineer with more than 25 years of distinguished leadership in defense acquisition, engineering, and contract management. A retired Naval Engineering Duty Officer, Darren has overseen multi-billion-dollar defense programs across the Department of Defense, managing the life cycle of complex weapon systems, shipbuilding projects, and major acquisition portfolios. From integrating the Navy’s most advanced warfighting systems to guiding missile defense programs into production, Darren has consistently delivered mission-critical outcomes with precision and impact.
His career includes senior roles at the Missile Defense Agency, Fincantieri Marinette Marine, and the Department of Defense, where he led program strategy, risk governance, and cross-functional engineering teams for major U.S. defense initiatives. Darren’s work has earned him top honors, including multiple MDA Team Awards and nominations for distinguished leadership recognition.
Today at CMS Group, Darren brings his extensive program execution and organizational leadership skills to the construction and facilities management arena. He specializes in guiding complex construction projects from planning through completion, supporting clients with project management, contractor coordination, and team-alignment consulting services that ensure successful outcomes. His military background and systems-driven approach help CMS Group continue to deliver excellence on every build.
President/CEO, CMS Group
Patrick A. Gaccetta is the President of CMS Group, LLC, a construction management firm based in Jacksonville, FL, specializing in commercial construction projects in the Southeastern U.S. He founded CMS Group in 2006, and the company manages projects for various clients, including educational institutions, museums, auto dealerships, banks, and churches. CMS Group focuses on cost reduction, quality maintenance, risk management, centralized communication, and compliance, often saving clients double their fees.
Before CMS Group, Patrick was a Director of the Automotive Division and a Senior Project Manager at Dana B. Kenyon Company for seven years, managing projects up to $43 million. He also spent 14 years with Morse Diesel/AMEC as a Project Executive, Senior Project Manager, and Project Manager, overseeing commercial construction projects in New York, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and Florida, valued from $10 million to $139 million.
Patrick holds a B.S. in Construction Management from Bowling Green State University and studied Civil Engineering Technology at the University of Cincinnati. He has also pursued continuing education in Estimating, Scheduling, and Project Management.
His representative projects at CMS Group include large-scale constructions and renovations such as the Southeast Toyota distribution facility, Sawgrass Country Club, Bozard Ford Lincoln, Orlando Cloister, and various university and church projects. Notable projects include the Jacksonville University College of Health Sciences and the Jacksonville University Marine Science Research Institute, which received a LEED Gold Certification.
Patrick is involved in civic and professional affiliations, including the National Multiple Sclerosis Society, the Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, and the U.S. Green Building Council.
